   I am setting up a subscription service for technical support.Your Aladin script will be great to automatically add the new members to my htaccess/htpasswd files.

   My current homepage arpictures.net/index.html would require a login link to the protected directory /var/www/html/demos. The first page I would like users to see within the protected area is default.htm.
   I presume once this code has been completed and the directories are configured all I would need to do is create a link from my exiting homepage with a login window to the aladin-m directory. After this is done I guess users will only need to login once to view all files within the restricted directories. Can you also confirm which aladin-m page I need to make a link to?
   I am only going to protect one directory /emailletters. I will need automatic registration with email confirmation and personal data. My welcome/members page will be /emailletters/index.shtml. I will need to place member update links on that page.

    Subscriber Area with Ring Tone downloads area and Newsletter. We are currently working on a project for a large manufacturing company in Germany. Here are the specs we are looking for.
   A customizable sign-up screen - the screen should be able to have drop down menus and radio buttons, not only simple text input fields.
   The service is free, so no payment gateway is needed. The subscriber should then receive an email asking him/her to validate their email address.
   The subscriber then gets to an area where they can request ring tones for their mobile phones. This area needs to recognize the phone number and the type of mobile phone that the customer specified during the signup.    Subject : New scenario with use access design. Id like to develop web pages in specific directories where only a specified user has access to the html pages in the directory.

   This does allow me to add "members", and the feature that I found appealing was the ability of members to register themselves using the email verification.
   This would provide me with a method to guarantee that my students would provide me with a valid (working) email address.

   Anyway - the most important part of our new site is allowing members to automatically register their passwords. Each member has a unique membership numbers assigned by our membership department when a person joins the org.
   We use that number in a number of programs including our members-only section of our website. The validation database - which is really just a table of acceptable membership numbers in our mysql - will be updated when our membership changes.
   What we need is a password system that will check this table whenever someone attempts to log in or register for the protected area. Here's a good example:
   - Member goes to our website and registers a password for the protected area - he fills out the form and the system checks the validation table to make sure he is a member in good standing.
    If he is - the password is processed and he is allowed to enter the site. If not - he is directed to a page that tells him to contact the membership department.
    - Two months pass and the member's membership lapses. He goes to the site and enters his membership number and password - the system checks the validation table and does not find his membership number so he is redirected to the page telling him to contact the membership department.
   - The member renews and returns to the website - enters his password and membership number which the system finds in the validation table and lets him in.

   I want to build a website with different learningcources. It has to have a managing password protection system so a visitor can apply for different learningcources.
   When a visitor applies for one cource they fill out a form with personal details including e-mail, username and password. The system then automately generates and send e-mail with the information given. If possible the visitor has to confirm this and then will be given access to the cource.
